5e Cards

Initiative tracker

Roll the monsters, type in the players, and step through the turns with HP and conditions on every row.

Add monsters

Monsters come in with average HP and rolled initiative. Or build the fight first in the encounter builder.

Add players

Type each player’s initiative roll into their row.

Nobody at the table yet. Add monsters and players above.

Running a fight with it

Add monsters by name: each copy gets a number, its average hit points, its Armor Class and an initiative roll of d20 plus its Dexterity modifier. Add each player by name and type in the initiative they rolled. Start combat sorts everyone from highest to lowest, with ties going to the higher Dexterity.

Next turn moves the highlight and counts rounds. Type a number and press Damage or Heal to change hit points; a creature at 0 is marked down. Conditions sit on the row until you remove them. Everything stays in this browser, so a page reload mid-fight loses nothing. To plan the fight first, use the encounter builder and send it here.

Questions

How are ties in initiative broken?

The creature with the higher Dexterity modifier goes first. If those tie too, you can edit either roll.

Do I need to keep the page open?

No. The tracker saves after every change, so you can close the tab and pick up where you left off on the same device.

Can I add a monster mid-fight?

Yes. New monsters join the end of the order with their rolled initiative shown; edit the number if you want them placed differently.
